ISITA 2004 Support for Regular Participants

SITA (Society of Information Theory and its Applications) supports regular participants by the funds of SITA. Please note that this support is aimed principally at scientists from countries that are experiencing serious economic hardship. Students can apply for "Student Travel Support" instead of this support.

(a) Who can obtain the support ?

The regular participants who satisfies all the following conditions:

(1)	You are a regular participant for ISITA2004, where `regular' means that you are not a student. Please note that students should apply for "Student Travel Support" rather than this support.
(2)	You must be a scientist in financial need. The support is aimed principally at scientists from countries that are experiencing serious economic hardship. You must provide documentation justifying the request for the support.
(3)	Your paper is accepted and presented by yourself at ISITA2004.
(4)	You apply for the support and are approved by the ISITA2004 Committee.

(b) How much money are you supported ?

	A part of registration fee (150 EURO) is supported by the funds of SITA.
	A part of travel fee may be granted depending on your necessary travel fee.

During the symposium after your presentation. You get the support at the office of Committee by showing the signature of session chair to approve your presentation. Please note that we don't pay the support before your presentation.

(d) The deadline

	The deadline of application: August 31, 2004.
	Notification of the result: September 13, 2004.

	But, the acknowledgment of the Fax will be sent to you via e-mail within a week. Only inquiries is accepted by e-mail toISITA2004finance@sita.gr.jp. The subject of the e-mail should be "Inquiry about ISITA2004 Support for Regular Participants."
